TO: ALL PARTICIPANTS OF THE WARRIORS' DAY PARADE

Re: 90th Anniversary Warriors' Day Parade, Sat., August 20th, 2011

The Warriors' Day Parade is pleased to continue the tradition started after World War I of honouring our veterans in celebration of various events. This year we celebrate the Warriors' Day Parade 90th Anniversary. We honour the thousands of volunteers, including Veterans, members of Canada's Forces and citizens who have made this event possible year after year.

Please see the following information in regard to this year's Parade:

(a) 2011 Parade Order
(b) Application for Family Tickets
(c) an attractive poster with general Parade details
(d) Registration form (printable copy)

(e) Registration form (to register on-line, open in Acrobat Reader)

We look forward to Saturday, August 20th, 2011 and our 90th Warriors' Day Parade, the longest continuous Parade of its type, which will once again remind Canadians of the importance of the personal sacrifices made by members of the Canadian Armed Forces in protecting the freedoms we all enjoy. Although we try to find a special theme for each parade, each year is an important year to honour our veterans and their service.

This year's parade will again relive many of our past parades with the reviewing stand located on Princes' Boulevard, directly in front of the Direct Energy Building.

We are delighted to advise that GO Transit has once again approved a blanket offer of free transit trips to veterans, plus one companion, or immediate families of deceased veterans on Warriors' Day and Remembrance Day. Other transit companies have also signed on to this program for 2011. For a complete list please check our website for updates from other transit providers within the GTA.

This is the 133rd year of the Canadian National Exhibition. As always, we wish to thank the Canadian National Exhibition Association for their exceptional continued support of the Warriors' Day Parade over the last 90 years.

The Warriors' Day Parade Council looks forward to your participation in this year's Parade on Saturday, August 20th, 2011. It is the intention of the Warriors' Day Parade Council to continue to hold this annual Parade as long as there are participants and support.

We also take great pleasure in announcing the attendance of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Walt Natynczyk. General Natynczyk enjoyed his visit with us last year and we look forward to welcoming him once again.

See you on August 20th.

President, The Warriors' Day Parade Council
